Why did you go back to blonde hair?
I have Lateral rectus palsy in my left eye from past 14 years. Now my left eye has moved too much closer to my nose. So my double vision is much more pronounced. I am getting fed up of people making fun of my eyes. In south India it's teased as LLTT, meaning Looking London Talking Tokyo. Want go for corrective surgery, hope it gives me good results.
I'm sorry to hear that people are cruel to you because of your eye - you don't deserve that 😔 if you do seek treatment, I hope you have a good experience and get the results you hope for x
I have surgery when I was 12. Then at 17 I have Grave’s disease, then in 2019, one eye is bulging more than the other and my left eye got lazy and the pupil is same as you, it’s misaligned. My teenage daughter told me e I looked creepy because of my left eye. I can’t have a surgery yet because I don’t have anyone to take care of my 4 kids and I can’t just have my husband off work without pay to take me to the dr each time for 2 hours. Plus, this summer my teenage daughter have a left great toe surgery for macrodactyly due to neural fibrolipoma. How long was your surgery last?

Hi! I'm about to go for surgery in 8 days. And I'm very scared about it. Did you ever feel sick after having the surgery? And before surgery were you able to have vision out of your bad eye? Or did all your vision come out of good eye? When I look all my vision comes out of my good eye and I'm worried having surgery won't change anything. Thank you for sharing your experience 😊
Hiya, Hope you have a great experience with it! 1 - No, I didn't feel sick at all (not from what I can remember - if I did, I would have mentioned it in the video) 2 - I had blurry vision/ a second image from my left eye. Strabismus surgery doesn't improve vision, it aims to improve alignment/ the cosmetic appearance of misaligned eyes. Hope that helps! X
@RockyApplebee thank you for your fast reply! So even if I had surgery I'll never get vision out of my bad eye? I'm having doubts about whether to get the surgery or not
@@skyebrandis1817 Yeah, I believe that's the case. It'd be best to confirm this with your medical team. However, as far as I know, it's more of a cosmetic procedure/ aims to reduce double vision
I lightened up my henna hair with a blond hair dye from Garnier, without ammonia and silicone. It worked rather well on the first go. I usually used pure henna, and a while ago henna + a bit of indigo (to get a burgundy color), and I don't notice any green tint, and my hair didn't burn or fall out haha I also have to add that I haven't been using henna for the past 6 months and that I am naturally ashy blond so that helps...
Ah, that's great to hear! Glad it worked out for you :)
Hi Rocky! Love your videos! Caan you tell me please what color was the color "before" how did you get that color? Thanks!
Hiya, Thank you! Check out my old video here: ruclips.net/video/H7Y3b6R0PUU/видео.htmlsi=BhSqF2f8Pb5aONYB This gives a lot of info about the colour - hope it helps x
hello! I'm 41 yr old. I have lazy eye since birth. I am going to have strabismus surgery on May 17. I'm kinda scared.
Hiya, It's okay to be scared! Something that really helped me was letting the medical team know how I was feeling. This allowed them to minimise my fears by doing things like using numbing cream for the cannula etc (you can get your own numbing cream for this in case your hospital doesn't offer it). Hope it goes well and you get the results you hope for!
I completely understand the tears
Thanks for posting this...I'm going to do it...
Thank you for watching and commenting! Hope it goes well and you get the results you hope for!
I getting my eyes fixed in a couple of weeks.
@@AftermathCanada24 Hope it goes well!
I did it once and my hair got fried by this treatment. So if you do it just know it can damage with time your length. I did it once two summers ago and my hair got fried and my length is still a bit ruined, it never went back to how it was. I have hennaed hair. I didn’t do it to lighten my henna but to remove a stain that I got on my hair colour by using Rosemary’ s water once.
Strabismus is almost NEVER a muscle problem. Surgery is COSMETIC only. IF you have stereo vision before, it will be better. If you have amblyopia or reduced vision eye muscle surgery will NOT make the eye work better. Patching guarantees that you won't use one eye. Strabismus is a brain problem processing motion in the nasal to temporal direction. If you have one surgery, you will have multiple.
Stabismus is abnormal eye alignment. How is that any way a COSMETIC Surgery. It’s a CORRECTIVE surgery because the alignment of the eyes are “abnormal”. While you say that it is motion procession problem, the muscles are worked on to bypass this problem. You don’t actually realise how offensive your comment is to others. If you haven’t got anything nice to say don’t say it at all. It wouldn’t put it past me that you’ve never had Strabismus and you’re just offering your but hurt sad opinion.
Did anyone ever tried a bleach bath or just this method with the naturtint and did that work good enough?
Watching this as I've just had my second strabismus surgery yesterday. I was born with a cataract in my left eye and can only see shapes and colors without my contact lens. With my lens in I can obviously see a lot better but I have very bad double vision. My left eye always turned in so i had the surgery in September of 2020 to better align it. It was fine for almost 3 and a half years but my eye began to turn out recently. I was suggested to have strabismus surgery on my right eye which is my pretty much perfect eye so I was extremely hesitant to do it but I trust my surgeon and had it done yesterday. I am hopeful that this time it will stick a lot longer.
Thank you for sharing your experience! I hope you're recovering well and get the results you hope for. I'd love to hear more about your results if you're happy to share
@tokimaromi Yea please update us.
@valeriemichelle90 Totally happy with the results! I just had my 8 week post op appointment and my surgeon couldn't have been happier either. I am more than glad that I decided to do the surgery on my "good" eye. No complications at all and I healed very well. Of course only time will tell for how long it could last but that's always the risk that you take with the surgery in general. I have zero regrets at all.
@@tokimaromi That's so great to hear! Thank you for sharing your experience 💙
your eyes look fine now, i think just a bit self conscious. sometimes when it comes to come to acting our in differences makes us stand out more for parts and roles and you get casted for our differences. But i think your eye is fine. you look great. how is your vision on your eyes now? i am just wondering why do you have to do the surgery more than once once as a child and adult again. did you have to re do as an adult? or did you just want that
Thank you! :) Yeah, casting is definitely becoming more inclusive which is great. Unfortunately the surgery results can fade over time. That's what happened to me - it drifted back out.
@@RockyApplebee thank you for your reply. Do you know if they offer children the botox? and why are the appointments so frequent... and lastly did you feel you needed the surgery as a adult again bc you felt your eyes were misaligned? i couldnt tell much from your before photos or videos... was that a self conscious choice? or truly bc the surgery as a child wore off?
@@kshoyentertainment2470 I'm not sure if they offer children Botox - best to ask your medical team. The botox appointments are so frequent because it is temporary and wares off. It lasts about 8-10 weeks for me. The results of the surgery wore off. They measured my eye position and it was no longer aligned. Hope that helps!
When i unfocus (what i call it-) my right eye drifts off to the side. When i refocus it goes back into place. The doctors have recommended this surgery to me and i am thinking about it
Ah, that's interesting! Sounds like you can control it pretty well which is amazing
I am going to have one and I am 22, I have faced a lot of problems and fought with people who make fun of me. And my eye sight is almost 1 4th. The doctor said that the eye sight will not become good but the angle will and it is my first time.
Oh, I'm sorry that people have treated you that way! :( yeah, unfortunately this surgery doesn't improve eyesight but it can make the eyes more aligned. Wishing you all the best for your surgery!
Hi kudos to you for your braveness i have the same condition ,i decided to operate it in few days but i am very scared if it wouldn't go well .
Thank you! I hope all goes brilliantly for you :)
Why can't they do surgery on the other eye if there is not enough muscle in the other eye? Sorry, didn't watch the whole video.
They can, I just don't want them to
thank you!!! it worked for me, i only used henna once but didn’t like the outcome. after using the product mentioned in your video, my hair has lifted to a lighter color. Now i’ll be able to color over it xx
Ah, brilliant! That's great to hear! I'm glad you got the result you hoped for :) thank you for commenting 💙
I am so tired of squint eyes 😢
I got Amblyopia in left eye. Eye alignment is inwards. Is it possible to get it straight by surgery? Age 25
Yes, I believe so!
I’m on waiting list waiting for the surgery I did have the surgery at a very young age , I might enquire about the Botox 1st but obviously you would need to go in for that allot , and I’m worried about that , can I just say tho , ur eyes look very straight on camera ? I can’t barely see any visible lazy eye , ❤
Might be worth asking :) I've had good results from the Botox. And it's not too bad at all having to go in to have it - I thought it'd annoy me but I'm grateful for it every time I go in. Thank you, that's very kind of you!
@@RockyApplebee I think I’m still going to try surgery if it’s offered but least I no it’s an option the Botox , honestly can barely see ur lazy eye I can’t even look at camera without it being completely other way lol I hate it xx

Ah, brilliant! So glad you got a result that you're happy with :)
I also have squint eyes, Now i am 22 years old.i always get depression about that. 🥹 Could you tell me how much money did you cost for your surgery? Please reply me 🙏
Hi, I'm sorry to hear that 😞 It was free on the NHS

@@KYAWNINEHTAY No, the UK. We have the National Health Service (NHS) which is publicly funded.
I am commenting since you are replying to everyone so i am hoping for reply too. I got surgery 2 weeks ago and the operated eye felt like it shrinked in size. I just hope that it will go back to normal size as it is very noticeable
Hiya, Ah, interesting! I haven't heard of that before 🤔 I wonder if it's because the area is swollen and is making your eye look more closed? I'm no professional - best to check with your medical team 💙
@@RockyApplebee I hope it's because of swelling. Do you have any idea if squint surgery can cause droopy eyelids?
@@jaweriaali1460 Hopefully 🤞 I'm not sure, sorry! I know that it can happen with Botox because the Botox can deep into the wrong place. I don't know about surgery though. Your surgeon should be able to advise :)
I have surgery today for this, I’m very scared, am I gonna see what’s happening during surgery when I’m asleep?
@@angelicag2006 Hiya, probably not! They can do this surgery in two ways - under general anaesthetic (where you're completely asleep and you wake up at the end) or under sedation (they can wake you up to check alignment with you before putting the final sutures in, but I don't think many people go for that option). Hope that helps! General anesthetic is the one if you want to sleep through!
I was born with lazy eyes i wish I had money for surgery 😢😢

I had my first surgery 2 weeks ago. My left eye was very severe. After my first surgery my eyes look how yours did before you got your surgery so I'm thinking I will likely have to do another one to correct further. Your eyes look amazing I honestly did not even notice any deviations after your surgery and I am hyper focused on those things. ❤️ Your surgeon did an amazing job! I do understand though. My heart just fell when I realized my surgery didn't do exactly what I wanted. Oh well, here's to another go! 🥂
Oh wow! That sounds like great results! I have Botox now and kinda wish I had done that instead of the second surgery because it didn't work and I was left with a scar. Naww, thank you so much!! Wishing you all the best with further treatment 💙
I have surgery today for this, I’m very scared, am I gonna see what’s happening during surgery when I’m asleep?
@@angelicag2006 No the surgery is the easy part, you'll be asleep and won't feel a thing! The hard part is when you wake up, but then you just have to heal because it will be over. Good luck today!!! ❤
I've never had surgery before. My confidence has been shattered because of my eye problem. I was offered by a doctor when I was a small child but I was so frightened of surgery i started crying and turned it down. Im more than ready to stop hiding behind my glasses.
It's great to hear that you're feeling more confident to pursue treatment. There are options. One thing I have learned from this whole experience is that I can face my fears and be strong. I went from having a panic attack if anyone came near me with a needle, to being mostly calm while receiving an eye injection. We can be very strong when we want/ need to be! I hope you have a great experience with whatever treatment you choose x

That's so great to hear! Did they operate on one eye or both?
I had the operation done on both of my eyes
I’m having my surgery tomorrow I’m excited but a little bit nervous as well, i had it when I was little and it didn’t go right but I’m hoping this will help my confidence so much I’ve always been so insecure about it. It’s amazing seeing your journey thank you for posting this.

Ive had henna in my hair for 5 years, and im a natural light copper gold redhead. The deeper red henna color on me was brilliant, but it is SO dark now!!
Thank you so much for posting your surgery adventure. This surgery may be in my future and it’s causing me anxiety as I don’t know what on earth to expect!
Hiya, I hope this video gave you an idea of what it might be like. Wishing you the best of luck!
Hi Rocky. I live in the UK and had a lazy eye (left eye) since birth. I had an operation as a child and it drifted out to exotropia as I got older. I really enjoyed this video and what went through. I myself have gone through the same. I would like to offer some advice and share my experiences. - Firstly your eye turn is not actually that noticeable. The normal eye alignment for light reflex is 0.5mm nasal or 11 diopters as per Hirschberg test. This means no one with normal eye alignment has perfectly straight eyes, they are slightly 'out' - As I got older my eye drifted more. I think it went to 45 degrees, it was a large outward turn. I had surgery on that eye and like you was disappointed as it drifted back out again - They offered me surgery on my good eye and I did it. The results were great. - I wanted to refine the result as I felt the alignment could be slightly improved so I had botox - The botox needle hit a blood vessel in my eye causing it to bleed and swell. There was a large pressure in my eye that luckily stopped. I think I could of gone blind - The botox was successful in giving my eye a permanent nudge, just enough as the consultant thought the needle hit some fibres - My eyes are slighly in near vision, perfectly aligned mid vision, and slightly out far vision but all within the 0.5mm tolerance for normal eyes - The surgeries and botox were over 10 years ago. In thlse years my confidence and life has improved considerably - I now have a pyschologcal issue of thinking I will lose my alignment so i constantly take photos and check with my double vision image is - For double vision, if the image is to the left of main then the eye is ineard but if it is right then it is outward - I have little rituals to make sure nothing changes as if the image stays the same so does the alignment - So you see even if you get straight eyes you will probably have the same issue I have about being scared of losing the alignment and paranoid about it Now if I were you I would go for the surgery, your angle is small so you need a consultant that does adjustable stitches. They wait one or two days after surgery and can change the alignment based on what they see. The risk for me was worth it Would love to chat more about this stuff, never been able to talk to anyone about my eyes Take care
Hiya, Thank you so much for your informative comment! It'll be really helpful for everyone coming to this video! It's great to hear that you finally got the results you hoped for. I experience similar concerns and I assume that it's common to worry about the alignment.
@@RockyApplebee unfortunately I think it is when the eye is amblyopic as no chance to get both eyes working together However I think you can get a good result with perseverance and would go for a second surgery Good luck 👍
@@Lucas567can I ask, did you have your surgery done on the NHS or did you have to pay privately ?
@@venessarobinson5299 had two surgeries on the NHS and then the Botox privately When they do assessments for the alignment they use prisms and cover test. This helps them find the normal position for the eye and then they estimate the angle needed for surgery NHS was a referral from GP then many tests at the hospital and eventually two surgeries. Took me quite some time to get it right. The most natural look is to be within 10 prism diopters. There is also angle kappa to consider which you may need to under or over correct to get it right Where are you based?
Im having surgery November 3rd on both eyes.. I had this surgery as a child. Im un my early 50s now.. Thank you for documenting your journey.
Good luck! Hope you have a great experience :)
Thanks for sharing your experience (good and bad)! I'll be going through this in about a month's time to try and help with double vision, and I'm hopeful. It'll be my first surgery of this type and it's nice to see the recovery process, and what I can expect. Cheers!
Thank you for your comment! I hope you have a great experience and get the results your hope for!
Would like a follow up on your surgery experience. I’m also having this surgery soon. Hope yours was a success 🙏🏽
Thank you so much for this. I'm going in for surgery on both my eyes in two weeks. This was very helpful.
Ah, I'm glad I could help! Thank you for sharing your thoughts. Wishing you all the best for your surgery!

Please help How much to do it and where about in Durban?
Hi, I was lucky to have treatment for free on the UK's National Health Service (NHS)
Hi I know it’s been a while since you posted this, but I came across this video because I’m having a surgery like yours in three days. I was wondering how many days it took for you to feel like you could return to your normal day to day life and if you have any advice for someone getting the surgery.
Hiya, Good luck! I can't remember exactly as it's been a long time since I had surgery but I think it was about a week and a half. I documented everything in this video so I may have mentioned it in the video. I felt extremely fatigued for the first week and felt wobbly/dizzy for a little while after that because of the change of eye position. We all react differently - some people have this surgery and go back to work very soon after. It just depends how it goes for you. Hope all goes well!
Having mine in a few days and I’m sooo excited !! Thank you for uploading this video . I really needed to see this
Oh great!! Hope you have a great experience, recovery and results :) ah, I'm glad you enjoyed it! Thank you for watching and commenting x
I have surgery today for this, I’m very scared, am I gonna see what’s happening during surgery when I’m asleep?
@@angelicag2006 nope ! I was fully asleep and woke up like nothing happened . Didn’t even have pain personally
@@Stephu30 oki, thank you so much, I’m so nervous for it because I have 2 hours and 29 mins left 🙏🏼.
@@angelicag2006how did it go
From childhood i have been bullied bcoz of squint in my eyes back then i used to laugh it off but inside alone i use to cry a lot i survived that phase but it never went away , till today kids ask me why my eye is looking on the other side when i am looking straight and it brings me back to my childhood days 😢😢 i respect every person who has had the courage to get this corrected, i have my surguery this month finally i have decided at the age of 31 i will get this done , i cant live my remaining years of life like this ❤
I'm sorry that people treated you that way. That should never have happened. I totally understand that children asking brings it back up. I have a similar reaction when people look over their shoulder to see what I'm 'looking' at. Congratulations on deciding to have treatment, I hope it goes well and you have a great result!
Good 👍🏾 on you finding the courage to have an operation. I understand kids can be cruel & adults too. Only people with this eye condition understand 😔. Blessings 🙏🏾 to u
my story is similar to yours - i had surgery on my left eye when i was younger. as i’ve gotten older it’s drifted outwards and a bit upwards as my left eye is also way weaker than my right 😭 . i had surgery last week at moorfields but i actually had it on my good eye (kinda feel stupid about it now) cos they said it’ll be easier to operate on an eye that hasn’t been tampered with before. i’m currently getting migraines cos i think my brain is having a hard time adjusting to the new position of my eyes ☹️ did your eyes look smaller than the other as it healed and did it return to its original size afterwards . it’s something i’m quite concerned about atm just watched the video and i had a similar experience with the botox ad well 😭 they sprung it on me one appointment as they wanted to check if i would get double vision before surgery , im also needlephobic and it was terrifying but the actual botox wasn’t horrible … i felt so proud afterwards 😭
Oh wow, that's very similar! They recommended the same to me but I'm currently apprehensive around operating on my 'good' eye. I'd love to hear more as it heals if you're happy to share. I didn't notice a difference in size in either eye apart from swelling in the eye that had been operated on. That swelling went down eventually. Although it was minimal to start with. Hope you have a good recovery and your brain gets used to your new eye position. X
@@RockyApplebee thank you ! and thank you for documenting your experience , it’s a shame the surgery didn’t fully work for you but i guess it’s made me realise that that is a possibility
@@impossiblesoul Yeah, it's possible unfortunately. They said that that was because I had already had surgery on it in the past. It's probably more likely that surgery is successful if you haven't had surgery on that eye before.
Thank you for sharing your experience. I have also diagnosed with left exotropia recently. I avoid eye contacts due to my squint. I want to undergo an operation but fear. Can you help me in anyway please. Thanks again for your video. Your eyes are really beautiful.
Hi, Thank you for your lovely comment! When I first meet people, I will often say 'just to let you know, my eyes aren't straight and I rely on this eye, so if it looks like I'm not looking at you, check in with this eye'. That helps me feel less self conscious about it. I included everything about my surgery experience in this video. Ultimately, it was unsuccessful but the experience of surgery was very positive. The hospital that I had mine done in is a specialist eye hospital so I was in very good hands. Hope you can find the treatment you're looking for 💙
Thank you making your experience as video, its really helpful 👍👍
Thank you for your comment! Glad it helps!
Can you please tell me what was the cost of your surgery and botox
Free on the NHS
Thank you so much for doing this. It is very helpful. BTW you have beautiful eyes:)
